THE ONLY CONSTANT THING IS CHANGE

Updated: Sep 10, 2020

Hello Poddies,

long time no blog aye? I missed writing so much its insane. Ive been dying somewhere in a ditch, no seriously. But that's a story for another day. I have been working with the Canadian training centre doing some sort of internship thingy (I really still haven't figured it out) initially I didn't want to do these workshops, but its insane how much I am learning. This is where the motivation for this blog comes from.

do you know what your purpose is? do you know how to get there? and what are you willing to do to get there

Ive been meditating on this question prior to the workshop I had this morning. I am in the process of applying to law school, and it can be a lonely and gruelling process at times.

A few questions I want you to think about are while reading this blog post

  1. what do you appreciate the most?

  2. what are you most grateful for?

  3. what would you miss most if it were gone?

When I was asked these questions, its insane how quickly and well I could answer them. This may be because I have a gratitude journal, even though I have not written in it in over two weeks. I often think of this every morning and every night. I use it as a way to centre myself as sometimes we get so caught up in what we do not have and forget what we do have. Ive been around the sun for 20 years and the one thing I can say for sure is that change is the only constant thing in life. You may feel like absolute garbage about your life right now, you may have feelings of inadequacy, you may feel unheard, but

This too shall pass: a bible verse that has stuck with me thru liFe (I just might get it tatted on mew)

What do you wish your life was like ?

what do you wish for those around you?

what do you wish for the world?

Instead of hating your life and where you are right now, how about shifting your perspective? meditate on what you actually want instead of what you don't want. did you know that by meditating on what you don't want, that is what you bring to yourself.

Classic example: ive been saying since I was 8 that I don't want to be fat, and each year I have gotten bigger

Could it be that my eating habits are not the problem but my mind is? our minds are limitless, but the one thing we must learn to do is control your mind, ->control your actions-> change your life.

Wrap up: focus on what you want, and work towards it.
