hello poddies
Today I felt like writing about something that most can relate to...I am pretty sure that at some point in all our lives we have been faced with situations that we think we can not get over or seems impossible to maneuver. However, you are still here and I hope that you are better or stronger than you were before! At that moment I know that it might be hard to see a way forward but you can do it, I believe in you. It is not what happened to you that matters, it's how you react and what you do after that moment that counts.
I for one know that it can be challenging at times to maneuver these situations, so I put together a list of things that have helped me when I am in this mental bubble.
Feel your feelings: I find that is very important to acknowledge what you are going through and feel, let your emotions out. You could do this by writing in your journal or by talking to a trusted friend. Know that it is okay to be sad and that it is okay not to be okay.
2. Extract the lessons: Reflect on the situation and see if there are any lessons that you can extract from it. Is there anything you could have done to be better prepared? I also find that I deal with adversity better when I can extract a lesson from it or take something positive away from the situation.
3. Think positive thoughts: I find that when I am going through something tough gratitude and looking that the bigger picture helps me get through the bump. I usually think about what I have and the little things that I have in my life.
4. Do things that make you happy: Surround yourself with things that make you happy and uplift your spirit.
I hope this blog has helped you. Until next time....
